Summer is officially here, and with that, so are some important things happening at the most magical place on Earth. If you've been following along with the website lately, today's article is here to inform you of everything happening this month at the Walt Disney World Resort, and we have quite a bit to discuss. I invite you to join me as we discuss everything new and exciting happening in June 2025 at Walt Disney World!
Without further ado, let's begin!
June 2025
Before I even begin, let me start off by saying that most of what we discuss in this article is happening in early June rather than later in the month. In fact, just the first week alone is going to be pretty hefty, leaving the remainder of the month somewhat quiet.
Monday, June 2nd
Starting at EPCOT, June 2nd marks the final day to experience the 2025 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, my personal favorite of all of EPCOT's seasonal festivals. Flower and Garden Festival began back in early March and has been running for almost three months now. But now that Spring has come and gone and Summer is here, it's time to bid farewell until next year!
So, what's next for EPCOT seasonally? Well, as many of you know, EPCOT does not have a Summer festival, so the next big thing on the calendar is EPCOT's most popular festival of all, with that being the Food and Wine Festival.
Looking ahead, Food and Wine is slated to begin on Thursday, August 28th, but I'll save more details about that in a future article.
As for CommuniCore Hall, the space has since been temporarily transformed into an interactive kids play area themed around Goofy. If you'd like to check out everything happening at EPCOT this summer, be sure to check out my recent video here!

Staying within EPCOT, we have a much bigger and more exciting date to discuss. EPCOT will officially debut a brand new addition right behind Spaceship Earth in World Celebration, with that being the adults-exclusive lounge, GEO-82.
"This adult-exclusive, sophisticated spot nestled within Spaceship Earth will feature a unique beverage program to enjoy as you delight your taste buds with a selection of small bites that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Whether you’re looking for an afternoon sip and snack or the perfect end to your EPCOT evening, you’ll want to take in the beautiful views of the World Celebration Gardens as well as the lounge, which takes inspiration from the iconic architecture of Spaceship Earth itself."
At the time of writing this, the new bar/lounge is currently undergoing a quiet soft-opening for select guests, and reviews have been stellar so far. In fact, some are calling the lounge a Club 33-level experience for its sophisticated atmosphere, visually-stunning (and expensive) drinks, and of course its exclusivity.
As someone who has been fortunate enough to experience two out of the four Walt Disney World Club 33 lounges (Magic Kingdom and EPCOT), I'm not surprised by the positive early press. Just its exclusivity alone will most likely make GEO-82 one of the most sought-out ADR's (Advanced Dining Reservations) in all of Walt Disney World, and I can't wait to eventually experience the luxurious intimacy of this new space soon. If you know how much of an EPCOT fan I am, you can probably imagine just how much it pains me that I'll have to wait at least another year before I become of age to enter GEO-82. After all, a bar themed to Spaceship Earth that overlooks the central hub of the park? Sign me up.

Sunday, June 8th
Our next date on our list is a sad one. Heartbreaking, might I add.
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the remainder of Grand Avenue will close forever. This includes both PizzeRizzo and of course, Muppet Vision*3D. Both locations will have their final day of operation the day before on Saturday, June 7th. This means that your last chance to dine at PizzeRizzo and watch Muppet Vision will be on this date.
For context, Grand Avenue has already begun its phased closure. Back in early May, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano closed its doors for good, and now the rest of the land is set to follow suite. This is all in preparation for the land's historic reimagining into Monstropolis from Disney and Pixar's Monsters Inc. (see concept art down below).

Ultimately, we've know about this closure for quite some time now. The concept art you're seeing above was released all the way back in November of 2024, with Disney announcing an official closing date two months later in late January. Despite the closure, Disney has given us plenty of notice ahead of time, which is not something they always do. To my knowledge, the closure of Muppet Vision and the rest of Grand Avenue is the farthest out Disney has ever told us regarding any closure (126 days in advance, to be exact). In the world of theme parks, the time it takes between getting a closure announcement to when the attraction actually closes is called a "Farewell Period."
Looking back at some of Disney's previous closures, this was very generous of them. Here's how long (or short) some of Disney's most recent "Farewell Periods" were:
Muppet Vision*3D: January 24th, 2025 (closure announcement) - June 8th, 2025 (day of closure) = 126 total days in between.
It's Tough To Be A Bug: February 4th, 2025 - March 17th, 2025 = 40 days.
Chester and Hester's DinoRama: October 14th, 2024 - January 13th, 2025 = 90 days.
Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy: September 3rd, 2024 - October 7th, 2024 = 34 days.
Test Track 2.0: April 5th, 2024 - June 18th, 2024 = 73 days.
Country Bear Jamboree: January 9th, 2024 - January 27th, 2024 = 18 days.
Splash Mountain: December 2nd, 2022 - January 23rd, 2023 = 50 days.
You get the idea. Essentially, an over four month-long "Farewell Period" for Muppet Vision was something nice that Disney did, so I'll take it. There's not really much else to report on here other than the fact that you have a matter of days to see Muppet Vision*3D one final time. I repeat: A matter of days.
Friday, June 27th
Fast-forwarding towards the end of the month, and we have something that will actually be taking place outside of the theme parks over at Disney Springs.
The popular "Flavors from Florida" event will be returning to Disney Springs for the sixth year in a row. Ever since the event debuted back in 2019, Flavors from Florida has essentially become Disney Spring's version of Food and Wine Festival during the Summer. Except this time, no theme park admission required!
Guests visiting Disney Springs between the dates of June 27th through August 10th will get to experience a food and drink adventure inspired by the fruitful flavors of the Sunshine State. Flavors from Florida is an annual culinary celebration featuring special menu items with ingredients grown and harvested in Florida. Ever since its inaugural debut in 2019, the event is back with returning favorites along with a slew of new offerings you'll find at various locations around Disney Springs.
For even more details about Disney Spring's Flavors from Florida event, check out the Disney Parks Blog page to learn more!
That’s all for now as we begin the Summer season in June 2025! I hope you found this article both informative and useful, and I’ll see you all in the next one. Happy Summer!
